"Bolava Vitthal"
Greetings Everyone,
With the kind permission of our Hon'ble Dean Dr Mohan Joshi, a mini ‘Dindi’ procession was beautifully conducted in the Sion hospital premises on 8th July afternoon. Following that, the event ‘Bolava Vitthal’ a programme of abhangas was held in the main auditorium. The Department of Medicine headed by Dr Nitin Karnik generously supported this initiative. Other dignitaries like Dr Pramod Ingle (Academic Dean), Dr Vidya Mahale ( Asst dean) Dr Ahuja ( Asst Dean ) also took a spiritual walk with the Dindi.
Nursing students welcomed all devotees with a Traditional Tilak of Gopichandan, adding to the sanctity of the moment. With approval from Prajakta Patil Ma’am, Sister Kardak gracefully prepared the students for this role.
Shri Mukund Patekar and his team gave wonderful musical accompaniment to the performers, creating a spellbinding atmosphere of devotion.
Each artist delivered their Abhangas with deep sincerity, leaving the entire audience mesmerized and immersed in Bhakti. The committee of Marathi Vangmay Mandal had thoughtfully chosen several rare Abhangas, and much of the credit for that goes to Dr. Deepak. This year, our Mandal showcased a mix of seasoned and fresh talent.
Dr. Supriya and Dr. Mihir’s vocal performances and flute renditions deeply touched everyone’s hearts. Those melodies likely still echo in many minds.
Narrators Dr. Pallavi and Dr. Vrunda, with their eloquent words, transported the audience to a realm of spiritual oneness. The narration was so fluent, elegant, and heartfelt that it resonated directly with every listener.
The event concluded with a playful twist — a joyful ‘Phugdi’ dance, adding a burst of joy to the end.
The spiritual joy all artists receive and share through music was unparalleled — it cannot be matched by anything else.
The medical students of LTMMC put in remarkable effort — Sarvesh, Sakshi, Rejal, Tejas, Gauri, Aditi, Samruddhi, Vaishnavi, Tanmay, and others — making the event a grand success.
